How to achieve great hair looks on a budget!

So, if you are like me you want to reduce your monthly/weekly visits to the salon, I have a few suggestions on how to save money on your hair;

Corn rows – The large chunky ones that look chic yet cost the fraction of making full braids. If you have a full hairline and you are a student, then this is for you. Maximum of 10 row and you are good to go. You can even get your roommate to help you matte your hair and apply some gel to help get that sleek look.

Wigs – This has got to be the best thing since sliced bread 😀 Sisters, this is the solution to ALL your hair needs! Literally pop on a new wig every week. You get to wear different looks, give off the impression that you have a lot of money and it lasts for a very long time, sometimes two years plus.

D-I-Y – It is perfectly okay to make your hair by yourself. There is an entire community of you-tubers who have tutorials for virtually any and every kind of style on the planet. From how to wash, perm, moisturize, braid, style, curl etc all these information is at your finger tip and would save you a tone.

Team natural – Natural hair is a simple way to look good and spend less. Simply get products here and lock, cut, curl or wear your natural kinky hair to give you a chic and afrocentric look!

Turbans and scarfs – If you can’t afford any of the above listed then cover your head! Turbans are super stylish and go with literally look you are gunning for; ranging from corporate, to casual, dinner and even weddings (bridesmaids and guest looks). This option is very ideal for women who work/spend more time at home and don’t want to keep changing hair-dos. A nice and easy way to keep your hair covered in style. The average cost of a turban or scarf is N1200, you can pin a brooch to it as an added touch.
